Automotive engine CNC machined parts often have multiple surfaces that need to be processed. These surfaces not only have certain precision requirements but also have certain precision requirements between surfaces.
In order to ensure the size and position requirements, the line sequence of each surface of the CNC machining auto parts of the automobile engine cannot be arranged randomly, but certain principles must be followed. Therefore, the following points should be paid attention to in the CNC machining of automobile engines:
1. Before important surface treatment of precision parts, the accuracy benchmark should be adjusted once to ensure the processing accuracy of important surfaces.
2. After setting the finishing datum, carry out rough machining, semi-finishing machining, and finishing machining on the main surface with higher precision requirements. Surfaces that require particularly high precision also require smoothing.
3. The importance of fine-tuning benchmarks. In the early stage of CNC machining of an automobile engine, the curved surface as the accuracy reference should be processed first, because the curved surface is used for positioning when processing other curved surfaces in the subsequent process. In other words, "benchmark first, benchmark later".
4. An important principle of CNC machining technology for automobile engines is that when dealing with fine reference points, coarse reference points are needed for positioning. In the processing and production of single pieces, small batch parts, or even mass production, for castings and forgings with large shapes or sizes, and blanks with large dimensional errors, a marking process should be arranged before the processing process to help provide marks and adjust benchmarks.
